Summary:
Sharon presented with esthetic and functional deficiencies related to her upper front teeth which made her very uncomfortable chewing with her front teeth and felt embarrassed to smile.
Evaluation:
Her front two teeth had previously sustained a traumatic injury along with her upper front natural teeth being too short, discolored and having noticeable spacing.
What we did:
In order to correct Sharon disability, a design, based on what she desired was developed. This was achieved by creating a computer simulation along with a three dimensional wax model. The proposed design determined that the optimum treatment would be to bleach all of Sharon’s natural teeth followed by the placement of temporary veneers on the patient’s upper 8 teeth, which would be manufactured, based on the specifications obtained from the previous design. Once Sharon was pleased with her new look, her temporaries would be removed and replaced with customized porcelain veneers fabricated to match her provisional’s along with incorporating the color she requested.
Result:
As a result, Sharon’’s smile has been transformed and she now smiles with confidence. |
