| Summary: Ryan presented in our office complaining about the appearance of his upper front teeth. Evaluation: Ryan’s upper 4 front teeth needed to be addressed in order to correct the cosmetic deficiency due to the fact that they were discolored, had imbalanced proportions and a large faulty restoration on his upper front left tooth. Since treatment was going to involve only his upper front 4 teeth, the restorations for these had to be designed and manufactured to blend in naturally with the remainder of his natural teeth. What we did: Ryan’s treatment involved first determining the shape, size, and color for his desired smile by creating a computer simulation. From this model it was decided to first bleach all of Ryan’s natural teeth followed by placing temporary veneers on his upper front 4 teeth, all manufactured to the specifications determined from the simulated design. Once Ryan felt happy with the new temporary look, his provisional’s were removed and replaced with porcelain veneers fabricated to match the temporaries and with a color that he chose along with blending in with his natural bleached teeth. Result: Ryan now enjoys a natural and attractive smile. |
