| Summary: Natalie came to our office complaining about how she was unhappy with her smile. She explained that she had no discomfort, but she didn’t like her tooth color, the overall tooth shape and how her front teeth were a bit crooked. Evaluation: Since her front teeth were healthy and had no existing dental restoration on them, it was imperative that whatever treatment was chosen to correct her esthetic deficiency would be as conservative as possible. What we did: A computer simulation was created to illustrate the look Natalie was looking for and from this design her permanent restorations would be manufactured. As a result, Natalie first bleached her natural teeth and this was followed by manufacturing and placing 8 conservative temporary veneers for her upper front 8 teeth meeting the esthetic specifications created in the smile design. Once Natalie was happy with the look of her temporaries, the provisional’s were then removed and replaced with 8 conservative customized porcelain veneers that not only appeared bright and natural, but also blended into her surrounding natural bleached teeth. Result: As a result, Natalie is extremely happy and confident with her new smile. |
