| Full-mouth bleaching and custom porcelain dental veneers to beautify disproportioned, discolored and misaligned teeth and to blend in with her natural teeth far exceeded patient’s expectations. | |||||||||
| Summary: Kim came to our office complaining that she was unhappy with her smile and wanting to undergo cosmetic therapy that could create the smile she always envisioned as long as the treatment would not be very destructive to her teeth. Evaluation: Examination revealed some disproportions, discolorations and minor misalignments. What we did: In order to determine the Kim’s desired look, a computer simulation was created incorporating the specifics she desired. As a result, the treatment chosen to be as conservative as possible, yet creating the look Kim desired, was to bleach all of Kim’s teeth followed by placing customized porcelain veneers on her upper 6 front teeth. Following bleaching of Kim’s teeth, temporary veneers were fabricated to the specifications of Kim’s smile design and placed on her upper 6 teeth. Once the patient was happy with her temporary look, the provisional’s were removed and replaced with customized porcelain veneers. Result: The appearance of the color, shape and size of Kim’s veneers exceeded her expectations while still blending in with her surrounding natural bleached teeth. |
