| A set of customized porcelain crowns and porcelain veneers with custom teeth color matching to correct the appearance of his crooked and discolored teeth. | |||||||||
| Summary: Alan presented in my office with concerns about the appearance of his existing teeth. His chief complaint was the color and crookedness of his teeth. Evaluation: It was determined that the patient would require orthodontics to straighten his teeth followed by any restorative treatment to create the illusion he always envisioned. However, he elected not to have orthodontic treatment and wanted to correct his teeth solely with restorative treatment. What we did: The patient underwent a smile design process, which included doing a computer simulation, and a 3D wax model to determine the proposed look. Following this, a set of customized temporary crowns and veneers were manufactured to the proportions previously designed and placed on his upper front 10 teeth and his lower 8 front teeth. Once it was confirmed that this was the look the patient envisioned for his smile, the temporaries were replaced with customized porcelain veneers and crowns matching the form of her temporaries along with having the color the patient desired. Result: Alan now enjoys the beautiful and natural smile of which he had always dreamed. |
